a humorous rendering of 'enough' reflecting its pronunciation in rapid or childish speech. The word is usually seen in this form in the cliche ''nuff said'. Vogue expressions also employing the word were 'nuff-tuff', meaning bold or daring, and 'nuff carn', meaning enough money, both used by teenagers from the late 1980s.
